Southern Dunes is an established and peaceful gated community located about 25 minutes from the Walt Disney World Resort.   There is an active residents association focused on maintaining and improving the community.  The roads are tree lined and with a large lake at the entrance, all edging up to the award-winning golf course.

Located off Highway 27, 8 miles South of Interstate 4, the villas are just a 25 min drive from Walt Disney World, and a 30 min drive from Sea World. Directly outside of the gated entrance to this golfing community there is a 24 hour Wal-Mart store, bank and fast food outlets. The villas  are located on the 18 hole PGA championship golf course of Southern Dunes, ranked in the top 100 courses in the USA, and in the top 6 in Florida.

COMMUNAL AMENITIES:
At the end of the main road (Southern Dunes Boulevard) is the golf club which has a bar and a restaurant. The club is open for Breakfast, Lunch, or Dinner or simply for a drink in the afternoon or evening.  The golf course has won multiple awards over the years, and the Golf Club is open to the residents and visitors with its convenient bar and restaurant.  The Club also offers a driving range, putting green and golf shop. The golf course, designed by Steve Smyers, is unusual for Florida in that it is built on a hill and has 100 feet of elevation changes. To play a round it is advisable to book in advanced as it is a very popular with tourists and locals.  The Southern Dunes Golf and Country Club community features 3 gorgeous outdoor swimming pools and there are two tennis courts and small children's play area with swings and slides.
