Edmonton is a frontier town and the capital city of Alberta with lots of great villas. Previously a trading post in 1795 ‘Fort Edmonton’ drew explorers and settlers from across Europe. Today, Edmonton is also known as the Festival City, a year round destination and whether you favour winter sports, food, art, music or rodeo, there is a festival for everyone. Edmonton is also home to North America’s largest indoor shopping and entertainment complex. West Edmonton Mall has over 800 stores, more than 100 dining venues a waterpark and an amusement park!

For relaxing days visit the Edmonton River Valley. Winding alongside the North Saskatchewan River, there are over 20 major parks that host summer and winter festivals, the Edmonton Valley Zoo and golf courses.

There are over 150 km (93 miles) of trails that can be explored by bike, Segway or walking. Drive just an hour from the city and visit Elk Island National Park. These woodlands, lakes and rolling landscapes are home to bison, elk and hundreds of species of birds. In the evening, wrap up and head to Beaver Hills Dark Sky Preserve, for star gazing and a chance to view the beautiful Northern Lights.
