Maine, New England Villas

Maine has many villas, which is just as well as it's nearly as big as the rest of the New England states put together.

Maine is known for its long coastline, rocky islands and majestic mountains, outdoor types love the hiking and biking and in winter, skiing and boarding. Year round, there is great shopping, fresh seafood and fine museums. Arcadia National Park is one of the USA's most popular national parks, Acadia covers 40,000 glorious acres on the Maine coast, 3.5 hours north-east of Portland. Maine is also well known for its lobster. Tours are offered at fishing villages along the coast and there is also lobster eating shacks where local produce is prepared by award winning chefs. During the winter Maine offers great skiing and boarding with 18 downhill ski areas. The area offers long sandy beaches, quaint villages and the famous Atlantic Lighthouses. The area is a great base from where you can explore the coast and inland Maine.
